Sneak Peek at 2019 Scotties

Only 1 auto-berth thus far - Jennifer Jones; OK maybe 2 with Kris McCarville auto-berthing from N. Ont (no more Tracey Fleury to contend with)

So whats left.

Rachel Homan should glide to the Ontario berth - especially if the team can shake off the splinters and bruises of 2018.

Battleground Manitoba - Kerri Einarson should be odds-on favourite but one cannot discard the value of team chemistry. Wait 'n see how Val integrates into this powerhouse team. After Einarson Birhcard and the group of skippers, Fleury w/ Einarson's old group, etc. 3 teams favoured - 1 will win (prolly EInarson) and at least one of the others should contend for a CTRS points-based play-in berth

Alberta - NO Val, No Shannon K. Scheidegger is the early favourite with Rocque and Crocker's new groups in on the chase. Again, the losers of Alberta should be considered for the CTRS play-in. Don't rule out Chelsea Carey either. SHe plays a lot of tourneys and could be a factor in Alberta or CTRS play-in.

After that its tough. Quebec and the maritimes still developing, as is BC & Saskatchewan.

So the potential top part of STOH field:

1. J. Jones
2. R. Homan
3. K. Einarson
4. C. Scheidegger
5. K. McCarville
6. Team Fleury or Team Birchard (CTRS)
7. Team Rocque or Team Crocker (CTRS)

Should be a great field when all the chips settle!
