Players ladies final or watching glue dry...

Watching two European teams in the Ladies Players final was about as interesting as watching glue dry.

Either skip had any sort of offence and I hope none of the up and coming lady curlers watched the blunders of both skips!

If this is what women's curling has fallen to, I will make sure I don't buy the full package of tickets and stick to selecting games one at a time!

Oh, and make sure Sweeting has her coffee before playing a morning game. She should have beaten Russia by at least 4.

I didn't see any real brainy moves, just some bad misses on both sides.

Even the great man, Kevin Martin was occasionally broken by opponents who dared apply shot pressure on him. Didn't happen often because Martin was usually the guy applying the pressure.

Well first you have to make good shots...not flash peels or drop 12 feet short on a freeze. Next, how many curlers, playing an 8 end game that is tied, would risk taking the hammer into the 6 end by trying an almost impossible split on a rock 3 feet in front of the circles when you could just throw through and take hammer into the 6th and possibly 8th? Muirhead was plain lucky to win, nothing to do with cunning!

Eve usually lives by the " if you can't be good, you may as well be lucky"...didn't work at the Olympics or Worlds but seems to work at the Slams (right Mr. Jacobs?)'

Soooo true in this game. As I have said many times to my wife, it's not the called shots that scare me, it's what they actually make. Kevin M. is good at reversing and covering up "Plan B's" with an oh, I thought she called....

I really believe that in this game you are better lucky than good!
