The Curling Show Back Catalog Now Available
The hackers did a real number on The Curling Show site so getting things up and running again is a serious task. That said, it's been a while since everything was functioning well on the old site so it's an opportunity for a fresh start.
One problem with the old site was that the older interviews were no longer accessible. So I've started digging into the files and I'm making some of the archived interviews available as downloads for 99 cents. Over the years, I spent a fair amount on server space to hold The Curling Show canon. Charging 99 cents for these old gems seems sort of reasonable. Or not. That, of course, is entirely up to you.
Right now, 12 of the more than 250 interviews I've conducted are available. Some gems, including all of Brad Gushue's appearances on the show. Jamie Korab right after Brad cut him back in 2007. Kaitlyn Lawes after winning the Canadian Juniors in 2008. Russ Howard before he went to the 2006 Games throwing Second for Brad. Amy Nixon before the 2006 Olympics. Wayne Middaugh in the show's very first interview, when I wasn't particularly good as a host. And some of the former greats — Ed Werenich, John Kawaja, Kerry Burtnyk, Together, they're sort of a crazy history of the game.
If you want to check them out, they're all housed at my new site: https://www.deandoesthings.com.
You can go straight to the downloads by following this link: https://www.deandoesthings.com/new-products/
And you can get a little more information about this effort here: https://www.deandoesthings.com/new-blog/
I plan to keep adding more files as time goes on — feel free to leave suggestions for archived interviews you'd like to hear on this site or in the News section of my site.
It's been a pleasure to host this podcast and I hope to be back up, re-energized and with a new site, in a few months.
