Excellent analysis and summary. Thanks so much @milo. Meek and affable, "John Shuster only had the scrutiny of an entire nation, a high-performance program that rejected him and his name coined as a verb for failure. Players and teams often have to lose one or more times before they can attain the next level." And that brings me back to my take on McEwen as having enough heartbreaking losses under his belt to be able to shoulder the joy into a big win. Great result for Shuster. Great analysis by #milobloom #miracurlOnIce

It's all too easy to criticize a team for not winning the "big game," but I've always told my team-mates that no matter what level you play at, "you can't win it if you're not in it."

No team will win every championship final. But no team will win a championship final if they don't get there first.

Very interesting read. I had forgotten how close Edin was to controlling the game.
