Savill to Join Dacey in NS

Article in Chronicle Herald this morning says Craig Savill will join Mark Dacey, Shawn Adams and Andrew Gibson to form a new team. Adams will skip apparently with Dacey at third. Thanks to the new residency rules, we may avoid relegation again!

Here's the article. Thought I'd attach it. Interesting read. Good for Savill. Hope they do well.

if the chemistry is good on this team this could be a very, very good team for nova scotia.

the talent level here is immense

If this team doesn't have success early it might be a tough year. Dacey is a great player but would be very difficult to play with, I think he has enough sense not to piss off Savill but Adams could be another story.
Maybe he'll mellow at third, which is probably his best positon. He's had the best teams in the province for a number of years but has few purple hearts to show for it.]

Agreed, this instantly will be one of the best teams in the province for sure, but you must remember, Dacey as of this season has won NS once in the last 10 years, and Shawn has been out out of competitive curling for 4-5 years. They may try to go to Ontario and "buy" their points, but will still be hard pressed to win NS. Having said that, whoever wins NS, please get out of relegation.

I think this team is almost 100% going to win NS. The experience, the commitment (surely Craig would not have agreed if they are not going to go at it hard on the tour) and the ice conditions (bringing in a top ice tech to make the provincial ice like arena ice). This is one of the biggest hiccups the NS teams face - getting used to arena ice, and this Dacey team will be no stranger to it.

Going further, I have no doubt that NS will be out of relegation IF the Dacey team wins NS - almost no way they will lose to Nunavut (if they send a team), Yukon, and Jamie the Rum king from NWT. Hope Jamie is ready to solidify his place in the patch for the whole week...on his dime. Haha. #getbetter #caremoreaboutcurlingandlessthepatch

Good point. Just goes to show...if he cared more about the curling and not just the party, he could be playoff worthy.
