First ever U18 Canadian nationals

Curling Canada announced the introduction of a U18 national event a few months ago. I think this addition could easily prove to be a big advantage for curling in Canada - giving young athletes the opportunity to play against the best of their age group in an arena setting would be such great experience for Canada's young players. Does anyone know any potential contenders that may find success at the inaugural national championship in April?

Justine Comeau has qualified out of NB and would be a favorite on the girls side. Also Liam Marin has qualified for NB on the boys side. He just competed at U21 so should fare well at U18.

N.S. Representatives are Cally Moore for the girls and Ryan Abraham for the boys. PEI has their Provincials Feb 24-26 weekend.

I heard that Tyler Tardi was putting together a U18 team in BC - no doubt he'll be a contender. SK's Rylan Kleiter is also in the running after going to Canadian juniors earlier this year. Neither have had their playdowns yet but I think they are fairly heavy favourites to win their respective provinces
