Help me understand

I like watching curling, but I don't understand the finer points. I am confused by the last play of the Gold Medal game. I guess the spin move was just for fun, but why did everyone stop? I didn't see any concession happen, they just started clearing the rocks. Why not continue and hope that US misses the house repeatedly?

They did concede as that rock came to rest, it was just the cameras didn’t catch the start of that. Also, Edin has a history of doing spin moves like that just as he’s about to concede, and the US team knew that’s what was coming. (I heard Matt Hamilton say this in an interview afterwards.)

Edin conceded after he threw the spinorama shot as Shuster was sliding down to throw his shot. He did this because he had no guards and needed everything to count just to tie and the chances of anyone at this level to completely whiff it is incredibly unlikely. Edin mad the decision to concede before he threw his last shot, he only threw it for fun.
