Weird sour grapes story quoting Gallant who felt slighted by the Korean Curling Association. "No Thank you". I suspect the Koreans would like to initiate a new coach for the next Olympics cycle, beginning in North Bay. I wonder if Gallant will be seen behind the bench of another team - the article said he has been in contact with other countries.

He has every right to be sour, Korea wasnt expected to be in the final, but Gallant got them there. A thank you is the very least he should expect.

You must have read a different article. No sour grapes, just stating they never said thank you. And it's not too much to expect to be asked to coach at the worlds just weeks after he helped get them a medal.

I predict no medal at worlds, won't make the playoffs.

Is it a cultural thing? Don’t expect a thank you for doing your job? Don Draper would tell you that’s what the money is for.

Really looking forward to Worlds

Obviously I'm the biggest JJ fan out there but the reality is that Jones delivers.

She delivers exciting games, where every end appears to be life 'n death. Her passion for the game is palpable - and her underlings know that they're in a big event. Might be JJ's last worlds or Olympics - obviously she's got one more STOH to go.

Jones may not win the worlds - odds are slightly against her -as Biaia Feltscher and her offense-nullifying game is there; also the great Swedish Olympic gold medal squad. While Feltscher and her group won't put up Jones like percentages - Binia knows exactly whats required to thwart Jones at almost every turn.
Hasselborg is now a clear and present danger. She's no longer a choke artist - and with her great curling sense and athletic ability she's slightly superior to Jones, especially in the consistency department.

Jones almost always delivers good television. At the worlds - by nature of their agreement with powers to be TSN is prohibited from showing any games other than Canada, unless Canada is not playing.

Even Jennifer's games against the so-called fawns of international curling are fun; fraught with danger as Jones lets everyone have their shots and makes games interesting vs. mostly sad-eyed blowouts.

The ending should be Canada-Sweden-Switzerland w/ Hannah Fleming trying to get a medal for Scotland. If Hannah or one of the top 3 stagger (very possible as Sweden is coming off an Olympic high, Jones is showing increasing signs of deterioration and Switzerland while of great positive demeanour miss a ton of shots. The Asians could sneak into the mix if any of the top 3 (or more) fail to live up to their form chart.

Sounds like a new Dan Rafael is in the works, kind of what he's doing after he led the Chinese to success in the 2007-2010 quadrennial.
