Ice prep for 10 end games

We have a good system for our club that works well in our 8 end competitive league nights. We get good speed, curl, and the pebble lasts for the whole game. We believe we have good water to work with.

I'm wary that the pebble would hold up for 10 ends, especially with practice. What would we need to change in our formula to increase pebble longevity without impacting speed or curl too much?

We are currently doing a base with #77 at ~ 95, top with #76 at 105-110, then nipping. We'll get 24.5-25 second ice and 4 ft of curl.

There really isn't a "quantitative answer", given the usual icemakers' caveat that "what works in my building might not work in yours".

When we hosted the 2013 GNCC Mixed Playdowns we did nothing different to our pebbling and our nipper setup. The only change was that we were scraping every draw, which we accounted for by only doing a 3-, 4- or 5-pass scrape pattern rather than our usual 8-10 passes in our regular maintenance schedule. Oh yeah, we also lost a compressor on Sunday morning I believe the feeling among the field was that the ice held up reasonably, or at least that's what I was told.....
