They all know the way the system works coming into the event...if you don't like the bronze game, then forfeit your provincial win to the runner-up...I'm sure they'd love to be there playing instead of you.

Incorrect reference Bud. I wasn't referring to the B medal game someone had implied the Jones victory was not deserved.

I was surprised too. Looked like there was at least a shot for 2 and maybe 3 (looked impossible to save everything for 4). The risk-reward was worth it at that point -- 1 down without hammer in 10 against JJ is pretty much game over.

Canada declines hammer in first? They deserve to get the deuce against them.

Ontario has hammer in the final?

I thought finishing clear 1st meant you had hammer throughout the playoffs.

Manitoba did have the hammer in the one vs two game last night because they finished first. I would think because Ont. beat Manitoba last night, that is why they have the hammer.

The team that wins the 1 v.s 2 game always has hammer. Its not just here, its everywhere

Ontario should have hammer. I think RR record should be irrelevant if you lose the 1 v 2 game. If that's the case, then why play 1 v 2 game? Basically saying they deserve hammer because of last weeks record...what about last nights loss?

wholly Gong Show. got no TV. Just checked the scores here - 8-8 playing 9 in the Bronze game. Exciting! thought I.

So, I checked Line Scores.

Talk about a yoyo! Lots of risk-taking? Lots of fantastic shots? or (gulp) lots of misses with the brick. Inquiring minds want to know..

There. See their reaction. And heather and team would have been just as exhilarated to win that game. That's why it is played. It was only Jenn Jones last year that didn't appreciate the bronze while MF Larouche and team cried their eyes out over the loss.

Good job BC and CAN. Great game, great show. Did it for yourself, your province and your fans. Everyone should applaud them both.

Of course they're happy - it got them a medal and more money. But just because they were happy to win the game doesn't justify the fact that the game exists at all. BC lost the 3-4 game - they shouldn't finish higher than 4th. The game is a cash grab; end of story.

After a great 3 ender in 8, Lil' Kelly came up heavy in 9 which gave Heather a shot for 3 which she made. I felt Beth Iskiw was a bit off. Heather did make some good shots and was light on a few.

I hope for a good game tonight - both are great teams. While I am hoping for Homan, if Jones wins I won't be too unhappy.

On the flip side, Jamie Koe played the Bronze game at the Brier last year on an hour of sleep with a hangover...

Some teams take it more seriously than others, and realistically in this year's scotties, the quarter final (3v4 game) loser won bronze, while the semifinal loser won nothing. It doesn't really make much sense.

Ah well, apart from that, I'm not sure why Nedohin played her last shot the way she did.... It was thin on the in-turn, but it was pretty ridiculous on the out turn. I think she made her last shot tougher than she needed to....

From some of his comments at the time, I think K-Mart was considering not even showing up for the B game in 2011, but decided to give the fans a show and junked it up with rocks in play on every end.
