like I said any win over a team you know yo9u will be playing in socchi will build confidence and momentum going into that event regardless of where it is.

Where did I ever say that Ott couldn't beat her in 10 ends, just Ott hasn't done it in a big event for awhile, I'm not discounting Ott totally, just that Eve's Euro wins were very convincing, and thus she has the advantage right now.

Eve most likely wasn't playing at her full force at the Sky Challenge, probably just practicing some things trying some new things.

Ott beat this muirhead team in 10 ends both at last years euros and worlds (and by that I mean 2012) so what are you talking about she hasn't done it in a while?

Yeah, that was a long time ago now, over a year, like I said.

Ott also defeated Muirhead all three times they played this past weekend at the Red Sky Challenge. See event in Scoreboard -->

I recall Stoner calling someone a 5 year old for the same petty arguing he is doing more of now.

Pot, meet kettle.

In what world is a year a long time?

Team elimination

I am new to curling. Why are countries eliminated before Olympics. Can't any country send a team?

No, they can't. Just like any old country cannot send a basketball or hockey team or a runner that takes 20 seconds to cover 100 m.

Like most sports, there's only a limited number of entries allowed into the event, and to run a men's and women's event they limit the entries to 10 teams per side. To do so, they need qualifying for countries to get into the Olympics.
