Hope the young girls will reorganized as soon as possible and that Andrea will take full responsibility for this demise!
I think it will be the dark ages for awhile in Germany now.

Of the teams I have seen play this week (Korea, Czechs, Germany, Finland) the US has played the best curling. It would be nice to see them in Sochi. They would be playing Canada at 9am (Sochi time) Feb 16th.

Yeah, I think they are the best team left, but they have lost to Germany and CZE, so it could be interesting.

That's not possible, no RR curling event has ever been held with more than 12 teams, there is a reason for this, plus men and women are playing together, so it takes even longer.

Oh Felix lol.
Misses a simple open takeout for the win in 10, makes a difficult short angle takeout to go to the Olympics!
Great reaction too!!!!

The number of athletes in each sport is set by the IOC. The WCF may want to expand to twelve teams, but that won't happen until the IOC says yes. Additionally, the IOC Charter says that team competitions are limited to twelve teams. The sole exception is football which is allowed sixteen teams on the men's side, but that's mainly to provide FIFA with incentive to participant since they could survive well without the Olympic competition.

The Flowers Are Back!
Time to "Defend the Bronze!" (Gold would be better...)
Some will say that the OQE was China's to lose or rename it to the Bingyu Wang Invitational... However:
-Had the German 2nd not kick her stone after the 1st preventing an agreed measurement call, in the first draw.
-If Marianne Rovrik made her shot in the 3rd end to score 6
-If Bingyu was heavy on her last shot in 10 against Latvia
Bingyu and her teammates could be 3rd and waiting to play the loser of 1 v 2.
The positives are that Bingyu has found the spectacular draw weight once again that propelled her into the curling elite from 2008 to 2011.

Great clutch performance from the US men. That should help getting some TV coverage.

The JPN-NOR game has my eyes bleeding, so many easy mistakes being made.
JAPAN scores 6(could have been 7) in the 8th end to lead 9-4.

Ott got killed by Eve twice at the Euros, so I don't think that's the case anymore.

I think the Czech coach wins the Least Valuable Intervention award....serioisly, the end was bad, but salvageable by Czech, until the time out, and thena questionable call to blow stuff up, and then missed shots.
Just wow....I almost wonder how much the WCF or USCA slid under the table on that one.

yeah well mirjam beat her 3 times in this one event and obliderated her 11-5 in the final.
that European championship eve did crush her but m,irjam dominates her 8-3 in the H2H. At major events they are fairly even at 3-3.

The small event wins Eve could care less about and don't really matter, it's the big event's that count, and the most recent big event Eve dominated.

Your fooling yourself if eve doesn't care that she lost to mirjam 3 times here. Mirjam dominated that H2H before the euros, got trashed twice and then came back and beat her 3 times here. Momentum means something with 2 strong teams and now mirjam has it again.
Just like Erika really would have liked to have had a win against mirjam or eve at this event going into te Olympics im sure.
It will be close but id still favor mirjam in an Olympic sitation.

Ott can have her 8 end wins, who cares, you are fooling yourself if you think they really matter and are a big deal, Eve will win at the Olympics where it counts, this 'momentum' you speak about didn't make any difference for Ott at the Euro's.
Besides, this was just an exo event, it's not even a tour, it's a tiny event with just 4 teams and 2 really good ones, don't put really any stock into it.

whatever. You pout way to much stock into one event and instead choosing to ignore every other meeting and that's where you'll be tripped up.

No, you are putting way too much stock into this meaningless event, instead of an event that actually matters.

and you sit there acting like mirjam cant beat eve over 10 ends when she obviously can.
like I said any win over a team you know yo9u will be playing in socchi will build confidence and momentum going into that event regardless of where it is.

What event are you talking about? This is a thread about the Olympic qualifying event. Ott, Muirhead and Brown were not in that.
