Canadians curlers are masochists - lots of foreplay but no finish

You can hear the vomiting in Lethbridge here in Winnipeg

eBAY: Selling. Used curling rock. As-is condition. Some minor repairs needed. Previously used at major curling competition.
No reasonable offer refused.

We forget that for 2 of these players it was their first time at a major international event (juniors and slams don't count). Koe did well to get them to the finals, but he could only do so much. That 12 minute delay didn't help. Maybe a more experienced second or third may have reminded skip the ice could be a bit slower.

I have to agree I don't think Jacobs, Bottcher or Gushue could have done any better.

Interesting during TCs 9th end time out that Ben stayed down at hack end and said to Apelman as he walked by "got nothing". Meaning what? nothing to say? no shot for Kevin to get out of trouble?
Not important but I do like TCs professional look that all our teams display- shirts tucked in, belts. Some of the teams look like they just stepped off the bowling lanes,

I was lucky enough to take in many of the games and must say the skill level for this one was the highest ever... which might be due to the ice conditions, but it was extremely high.

Hey, good the boys got the silver as you just never know when playing against such hi cal teams... next time they could win, next time they could fini tenth and next time they get silver... it all depends on one shot or maybe two at the most in these close games. And the breaks as well... like when have you seen a five min break to fix a handle... then both skips having to throw critical shots... and we all know what it would be like throwing a draw when the ice sits idle.

I put this championship down as the best Men's worlds... teams, crowds and ice.

For sure a draw to the button against two is much more difficult that the double Edin had to throw in that situation. I know Russ Howard is a step behind as an analyst for the game at the highest level, BUT he made it seem like Edin could even miss the first rock for the double. And his story about how that rock would be too warm and should not even be used sounded like someone a little out of touch with things. Edin just had to not rush his shot once the rock was repaired and he did not and threw it fine because for a world class curler it was not a really tough double. Even Vic piped in after the break and thought Koe's shot would be more difficult given the delay. Sorry Russ I used to think you were awesome as an analyst when you started with TSN but please acknowledge that other teams besides Canada can and even should beat us especially the full time curling team from Sweden. I agree with previous posters that no one else from Canada would have beat Edin this year and maybe for a few years in the future. KK got Canada as far as he could but could not get that last game.

I was surprised at Ben's comments and action. Like he had given up. Should have showed more support.
