Champions Slam

The curling year finally comes to an end with Arena and The Champions Slam.

It appears that Team Erika with a K has declined their spot. Part of me wants to blame them as the world moves to semipro curlers with a dedication level that ruins careers, postpones educations and leaves raising children to the neighbor lady. Then I get a grip on reality.

Face and Brady bring their teams and 100 broom heads to the big shootout. (just kidding about the 100 broom heads stuff...maybe...I think...they are trying out new sweeping rules for this one)

Brady has an opportunity here to really change things up. THIS COULD BE BIG.

If Brady and Da Bunch make the playoff in this Slam field (coupled with their dominance of this year's Nationals), they really kick down the door to HPP entry. Fine, hold a combine if you must; but ain't nobody who pays attention keeping Face nor Brady out...if Da Bunch backs up their National Gold with a cash in this Slam.

As trial-and-error (mostly error) leads us away from Coach Selected teams and towards Self Formed teams, Da Bunch could put a nail in that coffin this week.

Planting crops and Derby horses and living the life of Tuck might all get in the way, but I'll be really interested in this Slam.

I'm going to be cheering hard for both our teams this week. I really like them both and really want them to do well. Our Coach Selected teams are filled with great guys as well, but I still find myself cheering for the Self Formed teams a little bit louder. That may be a character flaw as it shows that I let silly views of stupid stuff cloud my emotions...but it is what it is. Plus, I don't want this Medal Year to end just yet. A little cash being imported into the USA would be a good dessert to a rich meal.

Self-formed teams are great, but didn't selected teams just win 4 world medals this year.? Do you still play music on a phonograph?

Are you saying that the Youth Olympic Team was selected and funded by the HPP? If so, they're doing a great job. I've moved on from phonograph to cassette tape
