Vernon

It is unfortunate that the committee is having such difficulty updating linescores for the Prestige Hotels and Resorts spiel. It was poor last night... And worse this afternoon.

i find that a lot of the north american tournaments seem to have trouble with updating their live scores. the european events are better in general with that

Without Homan or JJ confronting her Val is far too powerful to lose.

Carey and Nedohin should give her a run for the money in women's curling top province (Alberta) but Val is getting free reign in cash spiels.

Post Olympic year - JJ will only play high-paying cash tournaments and TV invites - plus of course the necessary games required to win Manitoba.

Don't know what Rachel's plans for 2014/15 are? Maybe Art could help here.

btw - I fear JJ's light schedule might put her in a secondary position to take on monsters like Homan and Sweeting at the Scotts.

oh yeah you are so right. sweeting lost to carey and got pushed to the absolute limit in her first game this week against ogasawara and had to steal to win that. your right, she looks invincible (insert eyeroll)

Here's JJ's so-called "light" schedule for you, M"L". http://www.teamjenniferjones.com/en/schedule

They're playing more events than they did last year, and are on the same pace as they have been for the last 4 years (8-9 events before MB Scotties). The season just started. Relax.

OK, now you've gone from misinformed loudmouth to obnoxious jerk. How dare you. Mods, I thought it was decided we were going to stop allowing comments on players' appearances and personal lives?

I didn't say Val was gonna blow everyone off the ice - but she's a winner who makes a ton of tough shots when needed. You don't dispute that do you misty?

Sweeting is also trying to wean a new player into the 3rd position. Still has a monster lead in Rachelle Piderney. Dana Ferguson is a super competent 2nd (not in the same league as Officer or Kreviazuk quite yet) who could do with a upgraded fitness regime.

and lost 5-4

i know carey didnt make playoffs, i was referring to her loss in an earlier event to her.

i do agree with you that she makes a ton of shots but i dont think she has it as easy as you think without JJ and homan around. case and point the fact that she has not won anything yet this year.

also, i dont think you should be commenting on someone's need for an upgraded fitness regime. she's not out of shape at all
