First GS......Where is team Jacobs?

Just looking at the Pools for the first GS.

Stoughton and Martin are in Pool A along with Ulsruud

Howard and McEwen are in Pool B along with Murdoch

Koe on the other hand, Edin and Epping?

What the heck? No offense to those teams but they ain't in the top six that's for sure.

So I was trying to figure out why the Pools were so unbalanced and then it struck me. Where the heck is Team Jacobs.

Koe and Jacobs and Edin. Now that would be perfect. The pools would be balanced

So I ask again. Where the heck is Team Jacobs?

Playing the Pre-Trials. The six Canadian Trials teams were invited to this event, along with Olympic reps from other countries. Even if Jacobs was given an exemption to play, they wouldn't have gone since the Pre-Trials start on the Monday following the Slam.

I wouldn't say their shaking in their boots but I bet there's more than a couple 'Superstar' roar teams praying that Jacobs can't rip off a pre-trials spot.

Frankly, I think the chances of that happening are about the same as Steven Harper coming clean on the Duffy/Wallin/Brazeau senate scandals.

If their was only 1 spot available, then Jacobs might only have a 70% chance but with 2 spots - I'd say his chances of advancing are greater than 98%.

They are normal this year. No side event, that was a temporary fix for the last minute Rogers deal. It has been mentioned that Rogers is looking at adding Slam events in the future and something like that may be considered.
