Koe has made the finals of the Karuizawa International in Japan. A wild ass game against De Cruz that they just refused to lose.

A lot of the ends deserve to be in a textbook somewhere.
Really interesting game.

Howard has made the Regionals coming out of the A side of zone 10.

Team Kean has also made the Regionals. As has Middaugh. Not sure about Epping and Rumsfeldt.

Stoughton is in the finals to make the provincials. Plays Sunday at 5 p.m.

Murdoch flames out of the Dumphries, Brewster with Eve Muirhead's brothers is in the semi-final. Not sure how long the Scottish Olympic committee can continue to ignore this situation. Especially political given that it's Eve's brothers on Team Brewster.

Steve and co can still get their spot in the Brandon Men's too. Home field advantage may be in their favor.

In other random news, Tracy Horgan won the Curl Mesabi Classic in dominating fashion this weekend. This is the second event in a row they have won - they also claimed the Dekalb Superspiel a few weeks ago with an extra-end win over Jennifer Jones.

Brewster won another event.

K.Smith played a rather stupid shot on their last rock of the extra end otherwise they probably would have won.

That said Brewster's CTRS (so to speak) dwarf Murdoch's.

Given that one team gets all the funding in Scotland, bit of an issue.

And it should be an issue. When will the powers that be wake up and realize the Brewster is a far better curler than Murdoch. Why and how they keep ignoring this is beyond me. Brewster seems to inspire the kids he curls with and the results are amazing. Hope the powers see this soon.

the thing with murdoch is that he can do as crappy as possible on the tour but if still ends up doing well at major events he's still be the chosen one. scotland doesnt care about which teams are winning the most money on tour, they care about which team is bringing in medals at major competitions. Now, to be fair thats really what every country cares about. However Brewster has demonstrated that he's more than capable of bringing back medals as well. what makes murdoch the favorite is that he has the world gold and he has the olympic silver(even if it was done with brewster's team that he put together). If results continue as they are it wouldnt terribly surprise me if the powers that be decided to put murdoch to skip tom's current team again.Although if i were tom i would do everything i could to stop it if they tried that crap on him again
