OMG Shuster is Gold. One for the northern MidWest - the invisible part of the ol' USA. Congratulations. Love the story of the underdog, come from behind, dark horse. Can smell the global chagrin lurking in this sport. #OhYeah. It is anybody's game. Hope USA let's him carry the torch. Team Shuster won on the mental game (made the shots of course - had to be equal) and there are no percentages shown for that. Team Edin either complacent or worried about shame of loss - both FATAL attitudes. Shuster is quoted to say he was sick of not having fun, lightened up, and bingo.
Just looked at post game percentages. Team Shuster played the HITgame compared to Team Edin. Old fashioned? Kept it clean. Not sucked in to the draw as we'd say in club curling. Played his own game and won it.

Congrats to the USA on gold. Should boost Vegas ticket sales and hopefully really crank up the interest in our sport as Schuster and the boys tour the talk show and media circuit. Could this be the missing piece in making huge strides in participation in the States?

Best thing to happen from Canada being shut out of the medal?

No posts from Manitoba Legend since Thursday.

Thanks to all the teams that beat us for 2 days of silence from old motormouth.

That was a shocking result/tournament. I had Shuster placing 4th behind Edin/Koe obviously before the tournament but to win gold? Wow.

Las Vegas Worlds should be a blast now!

NBC is replaying the gold medal match right now (on the main network!) and they’ve just shown the last 2 shots of the 8th end, where it all turned. Two thoughts...
1). Edin set up the double that Shuster used to defeat them when he failed to get an expected roll after a hit.
2). This mistake happened right after Edin had called a time out.

And I’m wondering if anyone else noticed these two categories of problems killing losing team’s chances throughout the whole tournament....not getting rolls after hits and not executing the shots they spend a whole timeout discussing.

I have noticed this season that when teams take a timeout, they more often than not miss the next shot.

Nice try Fresca

Read it and knew when you wrote the post that you were full of crap as Legends last post was Thursday the 21st.

Way more fun to wait for you to have to admit your lie on CZ so people get to see your true colors.

And ML is probably wrong-on everything-about 80% of the time. Lol.

WOW

https://www.newsday.com/sports/olym...iral-1.16936068

Excerpt

When it ended with the United States’ first gold in the sport at about 4:15 a.m. Eastern (6:15 p.m. in Korea), more than 77,000 people were streaming the event through NBC’s Olympics website.

How many were watching on television on NBCSN? It ended so late that data will not be available until Sunday for the 3 to 4:15 a.m. ET portion of the telecast. But an average of 1.58 million viewers were watching from 1:30 to 3 a.m., a remarkable figure given the hour, the sport and the channel.

Lol. All you did was embarrass yourself and show folks you're just as meanspirited, misogynistic and petty as Legend. You both hate it when people stand up to you-true signs of bullies.

Jamcan: It does not matter ML is wrong 80% of the time ( that's not really important ), that he is the most controversial contributor to CZ ( good for CZ ), or that he's got me on his " block list" ( cud care less ).

What is unfortunate, however, is his so-called friend, Fresca, who has no minimal standard of integrity, decency, character, etc., who saw fit to post what he did about ML. earlier today.
