One of those games where you wish there didn't have to be a loser.Gutted for Team Manitoba, they played their hearts out.I've taken a while to warm up to Homan and team, but have always respected their talent. Here's hoping they can capture gold at the worlds.

Fantastic final! for a change I was torn between wanting a Homan ( Jo-Anne's 1st) and an Englot (Michelle's 1st)...

..some brilliant shots by both teams, coming down to the last rock in 11, who could ask for more.

I know we'll be well repped at the Worlds.

Great final.
Very enjoyable to watch - very captivating, coming down to last rock in extra end...

Congratulations to both teams.

The criticism of Team Homan on this site gets silly, from the "too aggressive" thread to the pointless "make Rachel draw" ideas, etc etc. Seriously now, this is a great team who play like the top men's teams do and have pushed the envelope on what women are capable of. The stat on Rachel being the youngest ( easily ) to win three Scotties tells the story, look at all the legends on the list.

Both teams can be proud of their effort it was one of the best woman's finals I've ever seen. Somebody had to lose.

I didnt criticize team homan in any way so i really dont know what your poblem is.

quite frankly im well aware that they are world number one and all that but i dont care about their world ranking or or whether or not they are the youngest team to win 3 times. good for them. however it doesnt change my mind about them and it didnt need to be brought up.

also doesnt change the fact that im disappointed in how it ended.

Both were great but Michelle faced much tougher shots tonight then she did in the other two games. There is a reason Team Homan is #1 ranked in the world. Quite happy our best chance for world gold is moving forward.

yeah, thats true. they played well and deserved to win tonight. never said they didnt. still feel bad for manitoba. really was hoping for them.

That was an awesome final! Really good curling from both teams. I was a little disappointed MB didn't win just because I'm a Manitoban. Englot's team did amazingly well, and really surprised me mostly because I was ignorant of her past success and didn't think that Kristy McDonalds old team would really do that well at the Scotties. I was pretty impressed with Kate Cameron, she is going to be around for awhile I'm guessing. Hard to be too disappointed with Homan representing Canada at the worlds... Despite what the over analysis and nit picking you hear about them would have you believe they are a great team, and seem to be good ambassadors for the sport. Genuine excitement and happiness from the whole rink (including Rachel) when they won. I hope they bring home a gold at worlds.

Wasn't sure after the Manitoba playdown whether the Englot team just had a great week or were really that strong a team.

After the Scotties it is pretty clear this team has what it takes to potentially win at the highest level. Very solid all the way up the line-up.

Kate Cameron appears to me to now be the premier 3rd in the game. Her intensity, strategy and her shot-making really make her a force in the women's game.

Michelle at 53 showed she really has what it takes. Potentially only weakness might be the 'high hard one', however, her experience limits how many of those she has to throw.

This performance should ensure them a spot in 'The Roar'. As an Albertan, I will be cheering for others, but without a doubt the Englot team will be a factor in the outcome based on their performance.

I will be pulling for Rachael and her team at the World's. I have a feeling the scare that the Englot team put into them may help them in bringing the World Championship back to Canada.

Just wondering what the rules are as per the Scotties in 2018.

If Homan is lucky or good enough to win the trials in Ottawa and is the team to represent Canada at the winter Olympics, which team represents team Canada at the Scotties?
