Replacement Gripper
Can anyone tell me who makes the blue "wavy" replacement gripper?
I was looking at Goldline's, but the shop owner is unsure of its quality.
Information on where to buy it would be appreciated.

I know which one you mean. It's the gripper on your non slider foot, correct? I'm pretty sure it was goldline who used that gripper. I prefer it over crepe grippers, unfortunately i can't get it on my BP deluxe.

Why do you need an extra gripper on the non-sliding foot? I thought the delux ones had velcro attached sliders...correct me if I am wrong.

It seems as though he would like to either get new shoes with that particular gripper or would like to replace the one currently on his shoe, which is also possible. It's not an extra gripper, it is the gripper that is welted or glued to the bottom of the shoe. It is only the 500 series that BP offers a velcroed slider on.

Oh, I see now. Would the cost for a replacement gripper on an old pair of curling shoes be cheaper than getting new ones? Of course, if it is your all time favourite pair, you certainly want to repair it and keep it good!

Are you serious? It's less than $40 to put a new gripper on.

what you are looking for is called the Barnes Gripper, made in Ottawa.
Blue wavy, glue to the shoe. The best gripper bar none. Works on any ice surface. Does not turn into a million bits. The best.
