Why Mixed Doubles
I have always wondered about this new form of Curling... Why is it being introduced/marketed as only Mixed? Why not have men's doubles or women's doubles. I personally think it hurts the growth of people playing it when all we hear about is Mixed.
I think people need to get away from just thinking of it as a Mixed event. Then you'll see it become more popular. I feel it only hurts the future of it by always referring to it as mixed doubles and not just doubles.
what do you think?

Re: Why Mixed Doubles
I totally agree. Our men's team played 4 ends using the doubles rules last week and loved it. Lot's of rocks in play and requires some different strategy decisions to be made.
Not everyone likes to curl in mixed events, and by having men's &/or ladies events using the same rules may entice more people to try it.
