I've looked at it before, haven't used it... seems to me that the pad in the middle is too tall in that the bristles are not compressing very much against the ice. Although if the purpose is for the bristles to just dust around the outside of the pad then i think it works. But that is about all the bristles do since the pad is too thick.

I've tried it. It's alright. The pad in the centre is relatively small. Personally, i just keep two brooms with me, a balance plus with synthetic and a balance plus converted to a transformer with a duke hair head. This head seems to be okay at two things but master of neither.

Do you have the tapered BalancePlus ones? They weren't as attractive in the beginning but they turned out to be great! I have another broom from Performance Brush
