Jeff Hartung (Langenburg, SK) won 8-1 over Jeff Chambers (Swift Current, SK) in the Final of the Farmers Edge SCT, held December 8 - 10, 2017 at the Wadena Curling Club in Wadena, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Hartung won 4-3 over Drew Heidt (Kerrobert, SK) in the semifinals of the 2017 Farmers Edge SCT in Wadena, Saskatchewan, Canada; and won 7-1 over Scott Comfort (Wadena, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 Farmers Edge SCT in Wadena, Saskatchewan, Canada;

Hartung finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hartung lost 5-1 to Heidt, droppimg another game, 6-3 to Ryan Deis (Fox Valley, SK) where Hartung responded with a 6-3 win over Ryan Armstrong (Lashburn, SK). Hartung won 9-3 against Brent Franko (Wadena, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Farmers Edge SCT Championship title, Hartung earned 11.909 world rankings points along with the $4,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 96 spots the World Ranking Standings into 183rd place overall with 19.882 total points. Hartung ranks 141st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 14.504 points earned so far this season.
