In their opening game, Marnoch lost 7-6 to Jeff Hartung (Langenburg, SK), droppimg another game, 6-5 to Geoff Trimble (Gladstone, MB) where Marnoch responded with a 7-5 win over Jerry Chudley (Neepawa, MB). Marnoch went on to lose 9-4 against Butch Mouck (Gilbert Plains, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
