Randy Bryden (Regina, SK) lost 4-2 to Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Whites Drug Store Classic, held November 9 - 12, 2012 at the Swan River Curling Club in Swan River, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Bryden won 5-4 over Terry McNamee (Brandon, MB) in the semifinals of the 2012 Whites Drug Store Classic in Swan River, Manitoba, Canada; and won 7-6 over Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals.
 
Bryden finished 5-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bryden defeated Kelly Marnoch (Carberry, MB) 6-3, then won 5-4 against Rob Fowler (Brandon, MB) and 8-5 against Scott Manners (North Battleford, SK). Bryden went on to lose 6-5 against Martin. Bryden responded with a 5-0 win over Scott Madams (Winnipeg, MB). Bryden went on to lose 5-4 against McNamee. Bryden responded with a 4-1 win over Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Whites Drug Store Classic, Bryden take home 18.225 world rankings points along with the $9,000CDN prize, moving up 18 spots the World Ranking Standings into 38th place overall with 43.575 total points. Bryden ranks 24th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 28.150 points earned so far this season.
