The Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings Canadian Curling Trials, presented by Monsanto, will be contested at Rexall Place in Edmonton, December 6-13, 2009.
 
Eight men’ and eight women’s teams will compete for the opportunity to represent Canada at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, where the curling competition will take place from February 16-27 at the Olympic/Paralympic Centre.
 
The competition format in Edmonton is a round robin, with the first place teams advancing to their respective finals, while the second and third place teams meet in a semi-final to determine the other finalist.  TSN will televise all draws of the Roar of the Rings, leading to the women’s final on
Saturday evening, December 12 and the men¹s final on Sunday afternoon, December 13.
